Description
This is our first “sticky”. Fruit was left on the vines until after the first frosts and the cool moist mornings of the Canberra Autumn allowed comprehensive botrytis infection. This wine has an intense bouquet of cumquats and marmalade. The luscious palate of dried apricots and orange peel balances a citrus zing and completed by the honeyed lingering finish. This wine is named “Elva” in honour of Bob’ late Mum who would ask every vintage “have you made a sweet one for me this year dear?” Sip with lemon sour cream cake, or like the French do with pate and blue cheese or for a slow Sunday start how about brunch with pancakes, bacon and maple syrup!
